I’ve known these ranches and dairy farms my whole life; they were already century-old landmarks on the roads I traveled as a child with my family on weekend trips to Inverness, just north of San Francisco. Some of these farms are still in business while others are closed and shuttered, historic beacons dotting the Point Reyes National Seashore. I feel a kind of ownership to these structures as I literally grew up watching them thrive or fade over the years, photographing them along the way.
